DTU Fotonik works within all areas of photonic engineering - both experimental and theoretical – and is now seeking a PhD student to do research within nanophotonics.

Responsibilities and tasks
We offer projects within the following areas of research: Quantum photonics, nanolasers, metamaterials, structured electromagnetic materials and integrated photonics. We have excellent facilities for nanofabrication and experimental characterization and seek students with a very strong experimental or theoretical background, who are interested in joining active research teams within the areas above. In the application you should clearly state your scientific interests and motivation.

Qualifications
Candidates should have a master's degree in engineering/physics or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to the master's degree in engineering/physics.

Approval and Enrolment
The scholarship for the PhD degree is subject to academic approval, and the candidate will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes at DTU. For information about our enrolment requirements and the general planning of the PhD study programme, please see the DTU PhD Guide.   

Assessment
The assessment of the applicants will be made by Professor Jesper Mørk.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of
Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union. The period of employment is 3 years.
