The Photovoltaic Materials and Systems group

Welcome to the homepage of The Photovoltaic Materials and Systems group at the Department of Photonics Engineering

Our group performs scientific research on thin film absorber layers for photovoltaic applications produced by Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD), sputtering and wet-chemistry methods, as well as 2D materials, such as layered transition metal dichalcogenides, for applications in electronics and optoelectronics.

Furthermore, we work with photovoltaic systems for building integration (BIPV) and for integration into products (stand-alone systems). We also do research on new optical methods to identify faults in photovoltaic systems such as electroluminescence and photoluminescence.
