DTU Fotonik works with all areas of photonic engineering and now seeking a PhD student to do experimental research within nonlinear optics and/or biophotonics.

Responsibilities and tasks
The project is within one of the following areas of nonlinear optics and biophotonics: Fiber-based sensing, fiber laser dynamics, nonlinear wavelength conversion, ultrafast terahertz science and technology, higher-order modes in optical fibers, and spatial wavefront shaping. We offer state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and fiber fabrication facilities, ideally suited for qualified and motivated students with experience within experimental optics. Qualifications
Candidates should have a master's degree in engineering/Physics or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to the master's degree in engineering/Physics.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union. The period of employment is 3 years.
