Collaboration with a company on an industrial project creates a unique possibility for the transfer of technologies, combined with exciting, innovative thinking. The PhD student is the link between the technological possibilities of the company and the up-to-date knowledge that DTU Fotonik possesses. Typically the student spends half of the program's duration at DTU Fotonik and half on the company's premises.
In the early part of the program DTU Fotonik will typically assist the company with getting started. DTU Fotonik has all the experience, ease of approach and knowledge required to properly define a project, select the right student for the job and then monitor the process.
