In connection with the new Honors Program in Physics and Nanotechnology, several of the selected elite students has chosen a tutor at DTU Fotonik.
Bo Krag Esbensen, who has just completed his bachelor degree, has been selected to become an Honors student For his Master’s project he will be tutored by namely Morten Bache from the Fibers and Supercontinuum group .
Mette Marie Jørgensen has also been selected and will be turored by Niels Asger Mortensen from the Structured Electromagnetic Materials group.
Anders Nysteen is another Honor Student who has chosen to do his Master’s project at DTU Fotonik. His tutor will be Jesper Mørk from the Nanophotonics Theory & Signal Processing group.
The tutors will help in planning the courses, and introduce the student to the life of a researcher by opening doors for going abroad and taking part in conferences, seminars, workshops and group meetings.
The Honors Program in Physics and Nanotechnology is a new initiative where the best students from the bachelor line are selected. If the master is completed with a high enough average grade the student will be granted an Honors Masters Program diploma.

This semesters Physics Projects
42 signed up for the course this semester. They have formed groups and chosen 18 projects. The complete list can be seen here. Of these only 2 projects will be done at DTU Fotonik, 7 at DTU Nanotech, 6 at DTU Physics and 3 at Risø DTU. It is important to catch the students early, and an inspiring project description on the project home page is a good start.
